CAMÆRA is based on the ancient Greek mythological being known as a “Chimæra”; an amalgamation of parts from different animals fused into a singular being. The term has come to describe any mythical or fictional creature with parts taken from various animals, to describe anything composed of disparate parts or perceived as wildly imaginative, implausible, or dazzling.
A hybrid creature, CAMÆRA is a new myth. A being of folklore built from the various backgrounds, cultures, and stories of its creatives, transformed into a visual medium, and unleashed. CAMÆRA aims to provide audiences with interesting stories, beautiful imagery, and at its core, something that is FUN to experience. We make films that walk the razor’s edge between style and substance. Films with meaning beneath the spectacle and an obsession with world-building lore, imagination, and daring aspiration.
